Our one day Safe Use of Pesticides course is a must for anyone who is already employeed or seeking employment within the Agriculture or Horticulture industries. If you are responsible for the storage, handling and application of pesticides then look no further.

This course will help you develop your knowledge of Health and Safety, and legislation, enabling you to work safely and effectively out in the field.

Pesticides are succesfully and widely used use in land based industry, but they contain potentially harmfull substances! It is therefore essential tht they are correctly stored, handled and applied correctly.

Due to use of pesticides it is important that candidates can read and interpret inforamtion displayed on products to participate in the course.

The Safe Use of Pesticides course is a MANDATORY course for anyone wishing to continue to qualify with other Pesticides and product applicator courses.

On completion of the PA1 Safe Use of Pesticides Course you will be able to:

• Understand your duties under the law and help you become a safe and competent pesticide user.
• Understand what pesticides are and their ‘field of use’.
• State legislation relevant to pesticide application.
• Interpret and use label information.
• Take the appropriate action to protect themselves and the environment.
• Store and transport pesticides safely.
• Dispose of the pesticides and containers safely.
• Record information

This is a level 2 course with assesment. The price includes same day assesment and Qualification with LANTA Awards.
